Whats your biggest passion besides water skiing?

I am the owner and pharmacist of Emerald Coast Compounding Pharmacy. We customize compounds to the unique needs of every individual.

How did you get into water skiing?

Waterskiing is a family sport. My parents and older sister, Renee, always spent any extra time we could and every weekend going to the lake. My parents are from Indiana and they grew up skiing on the Ohio River. I was born in Georgia, and taught Renee and I everything they knew about waterskiing, and the rest is history.

Why do you water ski?

The passion for waterskiing, the passion for competition, the love of being on the water and the lifestyle waterskiing brings.

What would you tell a young athlete thinking about getting into the sport?

It takes a lot of hard work to be successful in the sport, as in anything in life, never give up keep dreaming big set goals and aim for the gold.

Share your favorite memory of Dave?

There are far too many! Dave was like a Dad/mentor that took me under his wing as a junior. His love of the sport of waterskiing, a professional athlete himself, from near missing the Olympics in snow skiing due to an injury, a mathematical mind, and passion to be entrepreneurs, Dave and I had more in common that most people. I will always cherish every memory we had together. And I am thankful for knowledge he gave me and the person Dave helped molded me into.

If you could only ski on one ski for the rest of time, which would you choose?

XTR ; Dave's last creation before passing. Model after the nano one which was one of the greatest skis of all time and the ski that I first broke the world record on at the time was 1 @ 41 and I broke it with 1.25 @ 41 with Dave there watching! :) And it was also a previous world record held for over 13 years by Kristi Overton-Johnson on a Goode too :)
