Summer is "Officially" here! There was some great waterskiing
action in the Midwest this weekend at the third stop of the
MasterCraft Pro Tour in Michigan as well as the Junior US Open in
Ohio.
FENTON, MI - Karina Nowlan (AUS) rode her GOODE 9800SL and
PowerShell boots to victory at the 3rd stop of the MasterCraft Pro
Tour.
Karina (3 @ 39-1/2) defeated an elite field of competitors that
included runner-up Emma Shears (2.5 @ 39-1/2), 3rd place Karen
Truelove and 4th place Whitney McClintock. Masters Champion,
Regina Jaquess, did not compete due to an injury.
"It was great to see Karina win!", said Dave Goode. "Karina has
had her eyes set on winning for awhile. She finished 4th at the
Masters, 3rd at the first tour stop, 2nd at the second tour stop
and now wins the 3rd stop!", continues Goode. "I really like
Karina's technique and intensity. Her GOODE 9800SL, combined with
her PowerShell boots, has given her an advantage over her
competition who have remained on rubber boots. We will be seeing
alot more of Karina in the future!", Goode concludes.
GOODE Skis dominated the women's field with 50% of the final 8.
GOODE Skiers included: Karina Nowlan, Karen Truelove, Nicole
Arthur, April Coble- Eller and Sarah Green.
Karina turns 21 this week. Happy Birthday, Karina!
FENTON, MI - GOODE sponsored skier, Nick Parsons (Bountiful, UT),
placed 2nd at the 3rd stop of the MasterCraft Pro Tour. Will Asher
(GBR) was first place.
"Nick is a real talent.", said Dave Goode. "We ski together on
GOODE Ski Lake in Ogden, UT a few days each week. It is great
seeing him ski so well this early in the summer. Last year, Nick
did not 'crank-it-up' until later in the season. He just got out
of his drysuit last week as we have had an unseasonably cool
spring.", Goode continues. "The competition is keen and I am proud
of Nick's appearance in the finals.", Goode concludes.
Nick Parsons is skiing on a modified 9800SL with PowerShell
Boots.
Nick is currently ranked #6 on the World Standings List.
FENTON, MI - Ben Favret wins the Master Mens division at the 2008
MasterCraft Pro Tour stop. Ben defeated Scott Tynan in the
head-to-head finals.
Dave Miller (CAN) placed 3rd while Water Ski Costa Rica's host,
Jimmy Kilsdonk, finished 4th.
"I am pleased to see GOODE skis place 1st, 3rd and 4th in the
highly competitive Master Mens Division.", said Dave Goode. "Ben
Favret is a great competitor and he is still skiing on his
original GOODE 9100."
HENSLEY WINS; SCOTT 2ND AT JUNIOR US OPEN
HAMILITON, OH - Caroline Hensley (TN) won all of the events at the
2008 Junior US Open Water Ski Championships. Tyler Scott (LA)
finished 2nd place to Zach Warden (FL) in boys slalom.

titles: slalom, tricks, jump and overall.
2008 MASTERCRAFT PRO TOUR STOP #3
FENTON, MI - The 2008 MasterCraft Pro Tour Series stop #3 was held
this past weekend at Lake Jepawit near Fenton, MI.
"I grew up in Michigan and Lake Jepawit was a favorite place to
ski.", said Dave Goode. "Jeff and Patti Smith have done alot for
our sport and it was nice to see them open up their site for the
MasterCraft Pro Tour.", Goode continues. "Jeff owns Silver Spray
Sports and is a Correct Craft dealer. The event was hosted by his
main competitor, Action Water Sports, and I know it must have been
difficult for him to see all of the MasterCrafts on his private
water. However, it was great to see the whole water ski community
come together for the greater good of water skiing.", Goode
concludes.
The weekend's events were webcast LIVE all weekend. Saturday's
viewing was free, while Sunday's was a PayPerView event.
GOODE is a proud sponsor of the 2008 MasterCraft Pro
Tour.
