JAY LEACH WINS MASTER MEN'S EVENT; GOODE SKIS 1ST, 2ND
Jay Leach, from Meridian, MS, won the Master Men's event at the
2008 MasterCraft Pro Water Ski Tour with the grand prize of
$2,000.00. Due to incliment weather conditions, the scheduled
head-to-head format had to be changed to a traditional format.
Jay is fairly new to tournament skiing and had only run 39-1/2'
off twice in his life before coming to this event. Jay found
himself in a three-way tie for first place with Dave Miller and
Scott Tynan, each with a score of 1@41' off. During the run-off,
Jay ran 39-1/2' cold off the dock to take the victory.
"You build an awesome ski, Dave", Jay Leach said to Dave Goode.
"Unbelievable ski! Chad Scott helped me set up my new 9800SL and
PowerShell Boots in Costa Rica this spring. You have a great ski
and a great training place in Costa Rica!", Jay continues. "I am
so stoked", Leach concludes.
GOODE Skiers and PowerShell Boot users, Jay Leach (1st
place) and Dave Miller (2nd place) held off Scott Tynan (3rd
place) and Greg Badal (4th place) in the event. GOODE Skier
and PowerShell user, Chad Scott was 5th place.

Pro Water Ski Tour women's slalom event. April Coble-Eller (USA)
placed 2nd and Karina Nowlan (AUS) finished 3rd.
"I am excited to see the the athletes on the GOODE
9800SL performing so well in tournaments. The 9800SL finished 1st
and 2nd and 4th in the women's slalom at the Masters last weekend,
and to see it take 1st, 2nd and 3rd this weekend is great news!",
said Dave Goode. "I just spoke to April Coble-Eller (pictured) and
she told me she ran 38' off 5 times this weekend and never missed
one! That is some great skiing. The GOODE 9800SL is
'on-fire' ", Goode concludes.
WaterSki Magazine editor, Todd Ristorcelli, finished 2nd place in
the 2008 MasterCraft Pro Water Ski Tour men's slalom event this
past weekend. This marks Todd's first ever podium finish in a pro
event. Todd was riding a GOODE 9800SL with PowerShell
Boots.
Todd was skiing against the World's best skiers and defeated
last weekend's Masters Champion, Will Asher, and Terry Winter on
his way into the head-to- head finals with Jamie Beauchesne.
"It was fun to get all the support from my peers.", said a
happy Ristorcelli. "Will Asher came up to me and congratulated me
after I beat him. My GOODE 9800SL and PowerShell Boots
really worked well. I am really physically exhausted. That is a
lot of skiing in one day!", Ristorcelli concludes.
TALKING ROCK, GA - The Pro Water Ski Tour returns after years of
absence. The 2008 MasterCraft Pro Water Ski Tour kicked off this
weekend with the H2Osmosis Pro Swerve Water Ski Championships at
Whitestone Lakes in Talking Rock, GA.
The MasterCraft Pro Water Ski Tour features professional men's
and women's slalom, as well as a Master Mens (35 and over) slalom
competition.
The Tour attracts top skiers from all over the world. GOODE
Skiers Thomas Degasperi, Nick Parsons, Regina Jaquess, April
Coble-Eller, Karina Nowlan, Clementine Lucine and Nicole Arthur
competed in this opening event.
