Brett Yager passed away yesterday while water skiing in
Acapulco, Mexico. Many of the details of this accident are still
unknown; however, initial reports indicate that Brett may have
somehow gotten his neck tangled in the rope while skiing at
shortline.
"I am deeply saddened by this news", said Dave Goode. "Dawn's
and my sincere sympathy goes out to the entire Yager family."
"I have known Brett for many years. Since moving to the Western
Region I have had the pleasure of seeing Brett more often at
tournaments. Brett had a tremendous passion for our sport. Brett
and I were in the same division and we were always on the starting
dock together at the Nationals.", Goode continues. "Brett was
always willing to offer a helping hand. Just this year he helped
us with the Water Ski Magazine test in Bakersfield, CA. He will be
greatly missed by all."
