More than 800 of the nation’s top water ski athletes from across the United States will compete for national titles in slalom, tricks, jumping and overall in respective age divisions and two Open divisions. Advancement to the national championships is earned through placement on the national rankings’ list for respective divisions.
In addition to the Nationals, the fourth annual Big Dawg Slalom Championship will be held as a separate sanctioned event at Okeeheelee Park on Aug. 13 and 14. Qualifying for the championship will be held at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13 on the North-South Slalom Lake. The 16-skier head-to-head finals will be held under the lights on Friday, Aug. 14, on the East-West Trick Lake. The start time for the finals is to be announced.
