Regina Jaquess won her 7th consecutive Malibu Open Women’s Slalom title Saturday as the annual event was held at Trophy Lakes in Johns Island, S.C.
Regina scored 1 buoy at 41 off to top Manon Costard (3-1/2 at 39-1/2 off) in the head-to-head finals to earn the win. She had the top score in all four rounds and was the only woman to run 39-1/2 off all weekend, which she did three times.
Both Adam Sedlmajer and Thomas Degasperi advanced to the Men’s semi-finals, eventually finishing 3rd and 6th, respectively.
In the Junior events, Griffin Stange took home the win in Boys Under 17, while Kristen Baldwin and Ali Garcia went 1-2 in the Girls Under 17 division.
GOODE skiers claimed 16 slalom titles – more than all other manufacturers combined – at the GOODE U.S. National Water Ski Championships held last week at Mystic Lakes in Maize, Kansas.
By claiming 16 of 28 slalom titles, GOODE skiers netted an amazing 57 percent of all slalom gold medals awarded.

An eighth career slalom title for Keri McClure, who in addition to 2018 also won titles in 2017, 2014, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2008 and 2000.
Nicolas Nelson won the Boys 2 title on the strength of a 5-buoy PB.
Kristen Baldwin winning Girls 3 slalom in only her second year in the age division. Her sister Brooke had won it the three previous years.
Greg Badal and Regina Jaquess tying for the highest 34 mph score of the week with 1 buoy at 41 off.
During the America’s Cup Invitational – held Friday night under the lights with approximately 3,000 people lining the shores – Regina Jaquess won both the Women’s slalom and jumping crowns, while finishing fourth in tricks. Karen Truelove was third in slalom.
Dating back to 2012, GOODE skiers have won 114 out of 207 U.S. national slalom titles, or 55 percent.

GOODE skiers once again dominated the gold medal count at a Nationals as 14 slalom titles – easily more than any other ski manufacturer – were won on GOODEs at last week’s 75th GOODE Water Ski National Championships held at San Marcos River Ranch in Martindale, Texas.

Team GOODE skiers Brooke Baldwin and the Haines brothers, Wyatt and Quinn, combined to rack up seven medals at last weekend’s Jr. U.S. Open, held at Pangaea Puddle in Canajoharie, N.Y.
Brooke medaled in each event, taking home gold medals in Girls overall and jumping, while also finishing third in slalom and tricks. Her sister Kristen, competing as one of the youngest skiers in the event, finished tied for sixth in slalom, sixth in jumping and fifth in tricks and overall.
Quinn Haines earned the bronze in Boys overall and silver in jumping, while his older brother, Wyatt, finished third in Junior Men slalom.

GOODE skiers dominated the 15th Lake Dwellers Junior U.S. Open held last weekend in Scott, Ark., claiming seven of 12 slalom medals and the junior Boy’s and Girl’s overall titles.
Brooke Baldwin continued her fantastic spring by winning junior Girl’s slalom with a Junior U.S. Open record of 2 buoys at 39-1/2 off, and claiming the Girl’s overall and jumping titles as well. Baldwin was joined in the Girl’s slalom top five by her fellow GOODE skiers Bailey Austin (2nd), Ruth McCreary (4th) and her sister Kristen Baldwin (5th), who also took second in overall.
Quinn Haines took third in junior Boy’s slalom and first in jump on his way to the overall title, while Zach Montavon joined Haines in the top three of Boy’s slalom with a second-place finish.
In Junior Men’s and Women’s slalom, GOODE skiers Dane Mechler (2nd), Cole McCormick (3rd) and Abbi Grathwohl (3rd) all earned top-three finishes. McCormick finished third in junior Men’s overall.
The United States’ Lori Krueger and Canada’s Dave Miller won gold medals in Women’s and Men’s over 45 slalom, respectively, as GOODE skiers racked up the medals today at the 2014 Pan Am Championships in Bogota, Colombia.
Lori swept the Women’s over 45 competition, also taking gold in tricks and jumping in addition to her slalom medal, while Dave scored 5 at 39-1/2 off for the win, posting the highest slalom score in the tournament so far in the process. His fellow Canadian and Team GOODE member Bruce Dodd took the bronze.
In the Junior ranks the United States’ Kristen Baldwin earned a silver medal in under 13 Girls slalom after being edged out of gold by Colombia’s Luisa Jaramillo in two tiebreakers. Kristen also took second in tricks and first in jumping. Her sister, Brooke, finished fifth in under 17 Girls slalom, sixth in tricks and fourth in jumping, an especially impressive accomplishment considering this is the 13-year old’s first year in the under 17 age group.
The United States’ Nick Lang dominated under 17 Boys with a silver in slalom and gold medals in tricks and jumping.
The competition continues Thursday with preliminary rounds in under 21 and Open Men’s and Women’s slalom. Among the GOODE skiers competing will be Javier Julio, Carlos Lamadrid, Caroline Hensley, Regina Jaquess, Adam Pickos, and Erika Lang.
