Video: Regina wins the Malibu Open for second-consecutive year

Regina Jaquess once again dominated the Women’s field to claim her second-consecutive Malibu Open title (video above), and perhaps even more impressively, add to a winning streak that started in May of 2012.  The world record holder has not lost a tournament since getting on the NANO ONE prior to last year’s Masters.

Regina (3-1/2 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off) took out Whitney McClintock (3-1/4 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off) in the head-to-head finals to earn the title.  It wasn’t the only hardware she collected on the weekend, as Friday night she was named the WaterSki Magazine Female Slalom Skier of the Year, also for the second-straight year.
