Regina Jaquess’ fellow Women’s slalom competitors are probably happy the professional season is over, if only because that means she can’t win any more titles in 2012.
Regina scored 2-1/2 buoys at 35-feet off to win the Palembang, Indonesia, stop of the IWWF World Cup and earn her sixth title of the year, all since she starting skiing on the GOODE NANO ONE. Anais Amade rounded 2 buoys at 35-feet off to place second, while Karina Nowlan (1 buoy at 35-feet off) and April Coble (1/2 buoy at 35-feet off) took third and fourth, respectively.
Regina’s winning streak began with a course record and Masters title, and has included consecutive victories at the GOODE Atlanta Pro Am, Malibu Open, Soaked Orlando, and Diablo Shores Pro Am.
In Men’s slalom, Team GOODE skiers took two of the top-four spots as Thomas Degasperi and Carlo Allais tied for third place with 3 buoys at 38-feet off. Will Asher was first with 5 buoys at 38-feet off, Chris Parrish was second (4 buoys at 38-feet off), Nate Smith fifth (2-1/2 buoys at 38-feet off), and Joel Wing sixth (2 buoys at 38-feet off).
The finish was Thomas’ fifth top-five of the year, while Carlo wrapped up his best season ever by adding another impressive showing to his second-place finish at the Moomba Masters.
