Team GOODE’s Regina Jaquess was the only female skier to get into 41 off – and she did it all three rounds – as she cruised to her third-straight Swiss Pro Slalom Women’s slalom title yesterday at the Swiss Waterski Resort in Clermont, Fla.
Regina scored 1.5 buoys at 41-feet off in the final round to top Manon Costard (3@39), Whiteney McClintock (0.5@39) and Jaimee Bull (4@38). Fellow Team GOODE skier Brooke Baldwin narrowly missed the four-skier finals, tying Jaimee Bull with a top preliminary round score of 2 at 39-1/2 feet off, but losing out on a slot in the finals due to a back-up score tie break.
In Men’s slalom, Nate Smith set a new pending world record of 3 busy at 43-feet off to take the win, followed by Will Asher (5@41) and Chris Parrish 4.5@41). Team GOODE’s Benjamin Stadlbaur finished 8th with a final-round score of 1.5 at 41 off.
