Regina named USA Water Ski Female Athlete of the Year

For the third-consecutive year, and the eighth time in her career, Regina Jaquess has been named the USA Water Ski Female Athlete of the Year.

From USA Water Ski:

Jaquess started off 2014 by winning gold medals in slalom, jumping and overall at the Pan American Water Ski Championships. In addition to setting a new world slalom record of 3-1/4 buoys at 41 feet off in June, she also won women’s slalom titles at the 2014 Malibu Open, GOODE Water Ski National Championships, California Water Ski Pro Am Water Ski Tournament, and U.S. Open, where she also won the coveted overall title.

Freddy Krueger, husband of Team GOODE member Karen Truelove, was named Male Athlete of the Year for the tenth time, while the U.S. 35+ Water Ski Team – which included GOODE skiers Marc Shaw, Jeff Surdej, Lori Krueger, Hutch Haines, and Joy Kelley – was named Team of the Year.
