Final pro event of 2012 to take place this weekend in Indonesia

The world’s best water skiers will have one last chance to claim a podium in 2012 as the final professional tournament of the year, the Palembang IWWF World Cup stop, will take place Saturday and Sunday in Indonesia.  Events include Men’s and Women’s slalom and jumping.

Team GOODE will be there in force, including the world’s No. 1 ranked Women’s slalom skier Regina Jaquess, the defending Men’s world slalom champion Thomas Degasperi, and perennial podium finishers Karen Truelove and Nick Parsons.

Regina will have the opportunity to put a capstone on one of the most dominating seasons of all time.  In addition to upping her own world record to 3 buoys at 41-feet off last June, she and her NANO ONE claimed titles at the Masters, GOODE Atlanta Pro Am, Malibu Open, Soaked and Diablo Shores Pro Am.

Thomas has had a remarkably consistent year, with top four-finishes in each professional event he entered including at win at the GOODE Atlanta Pro Am.

The tournament (which is 12 hours ahead of U.S. Eastern Standard Time) will be webcast at www.iwwf.tv.  For more information, visit www.iwwfed.com.
