Regina sets new world record of 4.5 at 41 off
Regina Jaquess set a new Women’s World slalom record of 4.5 buoys at 41 feet off Saturday, July 6th, at Lyman Land in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The new mark tops her own previous record of 4 at 41 off (also set on a GOODE XTR) and is the ninth Women’s World slalom record of her career. The IWWF approved the record on July 18th.
Martin Kolman takes overall gold, Regina Jaquess, Adam Sedlmajer and Jamie Metcalfe medal
Martin Kolman won the 2019 Mens Overall World Championship title in August and the “World’s Best Skier” mantle that comes with it.
Martin, who not only skis on GOODE slalom and trick skis but is employed by the company as pro team coordinator and ski tester, took home gold by edging fellow GOODE teammate Adam Sedlmajer, 2,769.11 points to 2,728.49 points, respectively. Joel Poland (2,717.30) took third.
Martin also earned a bronze in Mens tricks with 11,310 points behind Patricio Font (11,740) and Pierre Ballon (11,550).
In Womens slalom Regina Jaquess came up just short of winning her fourth consecutive World slalom title, tying eventual champ Manon Costard with 3 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off in the final round. In the ensuing runoff Manon scored 2 buoys at 39, while Regina missed two ball by mere inches to finish with a score of 1 at 39 and the silver medal.
GOODE skier Jaime Metcalfe earned the bronze with a huge score of 1 at 39, helping her cement a No. 7 ranking on the year end IWWF rankings list.
Team GOODE lands 6 skiers in IWWF Elite Top 10
Team GOODE landed 6 skiers in the top 10 of the end-of-the-year IWWF Elite Rankings list – more than any other ski manufacturer. Congrats to Regina, T-Gas, Karen, Jaime, Dane and Ambre!
GOODE skiers win 50% of all U.S. National slalom titles
GOODE skiers won U.S. National titles in 15 of the 30 slalom divisions contested at the 77th GOODE Water Ski National Championships, at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Dating back to 2012, GOODE skiers have now won more U.S. National slalom titles – 129 out of 237 – than all other manufacturers combined.

Additional highlights of GOODE Nationals week included Regina Jaquess taking the Women’s slalom crown at the America’s Cup, and GOODE skiers comprising six of the Elite Eight and three (Greg Sund, Greg Badal and Jeremy Newby-Ricci) of the Final Four at the Big Dawg Tour Championships. Greg Sund ultimately finished second to champion Jeff Rodgers.

GOODE skiers claim 8 medals at Senior Pan Am Championships
GOODE skiers took home eight medals at October’s Pan American Senior Water Ski Championships in Bujama, Peru. The event featured international 3-event competition in four age divisions: 35+, 45+, 55+ and 65+.
Carol Brooks and Dave Phillips led the way for Team GOODE, winning gold medals in Women 55+ and Men 55+ slalom, respectively.
Also medaling in slalom were Renee Jaquess (silver, Women 35+), Alberto Soares (silver, Men 45+), Luca Mantegazza (bronze, Men 35+), Adriana Dementereco (bronze, Women 45+), and Daniel Anderson (bronze, Men 55+).
And in tricks, GOODE Skis founder and president Dave Goode took home the bronze medal in Men 55+.
