2018 pro season kicks off this weekend Down Under

Believe it or not the 2018 professional water ski season kicks off this weekend with the first of two major events in Australia.

The Latrobe City International Open will be held Saturday and Sunday, offering a Men’s pro slalom competition, along with a unique Men’s and Women’s Open overall event. Team GOODE’s Felipe Miranda and Dorien Llewellyn will be competing in the Men’s overall division, while fellow team members Giannina Bonnemann and Natalia Bernikava will ski in the Women’s overall division.

The following week the famed Moomba Masters and Jr. Moomba Masters will return to the venerable waters of the Yarra River in downtown Melbourne. The Jr. Moomba event will be held Wednesday and Thursday (March 7-8), while the pro skiers will hit the water Friday through the following Monday (March 9-12).

Thomas Degasperi will be looking to successfully defend his 2017 Moomba title, while fellow Team GOODE skiers who are also expected to compete include Karen Truelove, Breanne Dodd, Erika Lang, and Miranda, Llewellyn and Bonnemann.
